The Mind a Battlefield
Three sources of thoughts – the person himself, the Holy Spirit, and Satan/Demons
Individual Thoughts – Choice!
Positive – Train your mind! – Phil 4:8; Rom 12:2; Col 3:12; II Cor 10:3-5
Negative – The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God – II Cor 3:14; Eph 2:3; Col 1:21; Rom 8:7
Holy Spirit Thoughts – John 16:12-14; Hebrews 10:15-16; Rom 8:16; Hebrews 3:7-8 – Will never tell you anything that is contrary to His Word.
Heb 3:7-8 – “if you will hear His voice” – 3rd class IF – The temptation is to ignore this communication and continue doing what you are doing.
Satanic Thoughts – II Corinthians 10:3-5; II Cor 11:3 – Satan will put thoughts in your mind starting with the word “I” to make you think the thought was originated by you. Every temptation with which he entices man is present to his mind. He uses the flesh to secure the consent of man, but in each instance of enticement the enemy creates some kind of temptation and thought.
